Rebuilding 717 Crank?
Just about ready to start on my '96 SPX project.
Probably going to need a motor re-do.
Wondering what all is involved in rebuilding the crank myself.
It would save alot of money by purchasing the rebuild kit instead of a rebuilt crank.
What specialty tool are needed beyond basic tools?
Are there any guides out there that cover crank rebuilding so that I can look over to see if I have the resources to do it myself.
I have rebuilt a few small block chevys over the years.
I have a couple of machine shops around, but need to check and see what machine work they can perform on the Rotax.
Been doing some figuring and found that I may be able to save some money by rebuilding myself, if I have the resources and tool available to do the job.
Plus, I just want to say I did it myself.....
