    NGKBPR8ES or NGKBPR7ES

    Do I use NGKBPR8ES or NGKBPR7ES plugs in a 1995 polaris 750 SL?

    both should work' I use the 8's Gap to .028 Mike

    BPR8ES would be preferred.

    NGK plug numbers are backward,the lower numbers run hotter,the higher the number goes the cooler the plug works.
    I found with my 700 ( with BPR7ES) the center electrode would get white,only around the electrode,meaning it was too hot,and it definetly was running rich.Running too hot of a plug will help burn a hole in a piston.

    In my opinion the 8 is safer.

    I've been running the 7ES in mine for several years no problems, I usually will run the for 2 years before replacing.
