Thread: Need RPMs

I am turning 6950-6970 RPMs on a 14/20. What can I do to get the RPMs up to the 7100 area? I need the RPMs to get the speed.
I have cut the air hole, I run Proks, I have the jetworks mod, I have not moved to oil in the pump. I have an AAT but do not have it installed. I have R&D 41cc heads with a layer of gasket removed. My R&D plate has been trued and coated with a durable epoxy (gave me almost 1 mph from off the shelf R&D plate) Trim tabs and intake grate have been coated as well. The visibility spot is gone, the siphon plugged up. I am dumping water from head # 3 overboard. I have not (yet) drilled holes in the bucket. I have ground the imperfections out of the stator.
Have I missed anything? What else can I do?

VF3 reeds= 100+rpms
advance keyway =60rpms
87mm nozzle if you don't have already
Then there's always porting and big bore

advance keyway - I wouldn't do that as well as using an Advent
87mm nozzle - that is what is on your ski already
I have a basically new 1300 top end (cylinders, pistons, head and PVs) that I would consider selling. Add porting to further raise HP.
This would add a bunch of RPM!

PM me. Why would you want to swap your 1300 cylinders?

phillip has many parts. I don't emagine those clinders are off one of his current skis

Quick Question: I noticed that you said that you have the left cowling cut. Why isnt this done from the factory? Is that side more prone to water intrusion, and what happends if water intrusion occurs from there?
