putting 05/06 SC into an 03 ski??
ok finally putting my upgraded SC into my ski this weekend.
my ski is a 2003 gtx sc. 185 hp.
the SC i got is a 05 or 06 housing with gen2 wheel and ceramic bearings with metal washers, originally done by jerry.
i recall some issue with a spacer, when installing new kits on 03 superchargers????
does this have anything to do with what i am doing?
or will my 05 SC with mods just fit right into place on my 03 engine???
i plan to swap the gear on the SC to a new gear specific for the 185's.
whats the spacer i rememeber hearing about???

The spacer was on the 03 setup, since there was no washers....If your new SC has the typical metal clutch setup, all you need to do is make sure you have the right gear in there....and it will bolt right in.

If your serial number on the 03 housings ends in a "3" then you will need to put the spacer washers between the supercharger housing and engine.
If the serial number ends in a "4" then you can just bolt the supercharger straight to the engine after you do the gear swap.

so theres actual spacers that go btw the SC and engine at the 3 mounting bolts?
even if i am installing a 05 supercharger?
hmmm, if thats the case, how thick are the spacers cuz i dont have any. will have to use some SS washers.

No problem with putting an 05 supercharger into your 03 engine.... no spacers needed.
If you have an 03 rear supercharger housing with an updated clutch/shaft kit and your rear housing has a serial number that ends in a 3 then you need to put the 3 spacers in place.
The spacers come with the rebuild kit. See pic....
