    08 RXP-X, Is This a Good Deal?

Local dealer has offered to sell me a new 08 RXP-X for $8999.00 + tax (sales and property tax). He told me he is losing $900+ on the deal but they have so many RXP-Xs that they want to get rid of two of them at this price (one has already sold). After he sells the one at $8999.00 + tax, the price will be $9999.00 + tax.

He will also sell me a new 08 RXT-X for $10,500 + tax. He claims that at this price he isn't making any money, but he also isn't losing money (unlike the RXP-X).

What do you guys think? Are these good deals?

Don't know about the T, but that IS a good deal on the P-X.
    Where is the dealer?

How much are you looking at in taxes? The p-x is a good deal, I am guessing you will be at 10k out the door which is close to at cost for the dealer, but he is making up for it on the t-x that will end up being 11,5-- out the door.

Looks like a great deal on the RXP-X. Cheapest I've seen on the RXT-X is 11,300 out the door including a trailer and a five-year warranty. Looks like your price is a bit better if it includes the warranty.

There is a dealer in Austin that has the P-X for $9499 right now. This is the same price I paid in late Dec for mine.

Okay, the out the door price for the RXP-X is $9884.64. I called the state and it confirmed that its fees are $705 (sales tax, title, registration, etc., etc.). So that means that actual price before tax is about $9180.

As for the RXT-X, the out the door price is $11,488 The state fees for that one are $808. So the actual price before tax is about $10,680.

Both machines would come with the 5 year warranty, but no trailer or anything else.

Well, if the RXP-X is a good deal and it is the last one left, I am a little hesitant to post the location. I don't want somebody snatching it out from under me. I will say generally that it is "west of the rockies."

I paid 9 plus taxes for a 215 a few months ago. That is a steal of a deal, especially if it has the 5yr warranty. Still a great deal without it.

You need to jump on it before it's gone. That's a good deal. Trailers are cheap, especially used ones.
