    Putting my 800 back together

I am starting to put my 800 rfi back together. My first question is... On the rotary valve face on the side of the cases... There is a groove In the face that connects the two intakes. It is from one of the needles of the wrist pin that failed and got cought in the valve. Can/do I need to get this resurfaced or will It mess with the clearences of the valve?

Get a manual and it prints the specs for the RV surface. The cases will have to be bolted together, and the machinist will have to remove the same amout off the outer lip of the case as the RV surface to keep the total gap the same...when he removes the gouge.

One 14mm 3/8 short socket, white lithium grease, and 5 minutes, all 34 will slide in like a piece of cake...
