    gp1200r intake grate

Whats everyone's fav to replace the stock grate. And whats a good ride plate as well?

I have a lightly modified ski.

    Oil block off
    rejetted and chokeplates removed
    dplate
    jetworks
    flame arresters
and a tiny tach to tune

Looking to get some more speed out of it this year. If I had the money I would pick up a ho pump.

I have the R&D 800 grate, they are known to break so I plan to get a stainless one from the online store sometime this summer. I am using 'Jim's Performance' modified R&D rideplate. the rideplate will give you some speed for sure, it has been claimed to gain you 4mph when it is tuned correctly but i cannot claim that b/c i haven't tested back to back.

    R and D sucks.

I have a riva and pro-tec that i use - both have good hook up. Tomorrow morning i will be testing for top speed to see what the differance is.

Yeah I think they do. I actually called Riva and they said that only one grate for a stand up is made by R and D.

I just never hear the rivas really breaking and im also saying r and d sucks because all of their other stuff just looks like crap. Specifically their nozzle and plate.

So I should be looking at a riva one? Now for the next question. Do I want the one or two bar top loader.

I have a Riva Top Loader......the same thing as the 1200grate. I have not had any problems with it. A single bar will help with holeshot but I would still go with a double bar for extra protection.

They might - but also make some crappy ones.

.5 MPH between pro-tec and riva.
