    Green vs. S III vs. X SC

    Time for a rebuild on the SC and I am considering a new wheel.

    On the stock ECU with green wheel 7900-7950 RPM cooler weather 8050RPM

    I am considering an S-III wheel or a whole new X charger

    S III and an 08 rebuild kit $900
    X charger and RRFPR $1088

    My question is will there be any difference in the green wheel and the S III?

    What would be my best option?

    S3 wheels are 127mm. X and iS chargers are 137mm wheels. At the same level of boost, the larger wheel wil always make more power.

    I know the X charger will make more power but I don't have a way to tune the RRFPR. What I would like to do is get that 200RPM I need without pitching the prop.

    Am I correct in assuming the green and S III produce about the same boost but the S III has slightly more volume? And will it produce enough power to net the 200 rpm? The S III and 42"s is a proven setup and there will be no tuning.

    With the X charger I am not sure what the setup should be and that will lead to extra cost and time to verify the AFR. But if there is not much difference between the green and s III chargers then I would just bite the bullet.

    All you would need with the X charger is 42lb injectors. We run that set up on a lot of skis here with no issues.

    By just swapping a RR/GW for the S3 and 42's you will most likely gain the 200 rpm you're looking for... I've done it several times.

    I'm also torn between the S3, 42's and XS and X-charger with 42's. I think I'm going to go the S3 route.

    Why is the choice;
    X charger + 42s or s3 plus 42's plus XS???

    Why not X charger, 42's, and XS??? Is it a cost thing??? Just wondering.
