    4" intake and exhaust question

    Hi,

I got a Riva free flow pipe and also done a 4" kanaflex intake and at one point the 4" intake pipe is about 10mm away from the exhaust. At the moment the two are not touching but I can imagine the 4" intake pipe will move and my touch the exhaust pipe.

Should I put some soft of insulation around the exhaust pipe? Would the exhaust get hot enough to melt the intake hose?

    Cheers.

If you think they will touch I would put something between them where that might happen. The exhaust itself stays cool due to the water flowing through it but the touching could wear the kanaflex and make a hole.
