Just bought my first PWC '97 Sea Doo GTX
Just wanted to drop a line in here, say hi to everyone.
After years of sitting on the deck at my parents cottage watching jet ski's fly by, I decided to buy one for myself, well and my wife and kids too.
I just picked up a 1997 Sea Doo GTX, it's a bit older but it was cheaper, seems like a good entry into the seadoo world.
I'm from Burlington Ontario, and spend most of my summer back and forth at my parents cottage, friends cottage, and kiteboarding, so I think this will fit right in with our lifestyle.
I hope that I will not be posting any questions on here anytime soon, but its great to know that there are forums out here to help support each other.
Calling my insurance company they told me that it was not mandatory to have insurance, that surprised me, but I'm getting a quote. Do most of you have insurance, I would think so, liability at the very least.
On other thing, it came with a double trailer, I don't have a second PWC, and would rather have a single trailer, will it be difficult to trade, or would it be easier to sell it and buy a single.

Congrats on the ski! I have insurance through progressive, but only because my loan required it.

Trade dual for a single
I have seen a couple of craig's list ads looking to trade a dual for a single and they get snatched up pretty quickly, you should even make a couple of bucks on it.
