    650 engine and drivetrain

    I have a complete engine, electrial and drivetrain from a 650 that tagged a dock. The cylinders all have between 120 and 125 psi on compression (cold).
    What do you think it's worth as a unit and would it be better to part out.

    What year 650?
    SL 650 model?

    Usually the jet pump is sold separate from the engine. '92-'93 pumps don't have as much value as '94 onwards.

    A running 650 engine might have some value - there are a couple of threads right now with guys that might be able to use a good 650 engine.

    Did the machine sink, or the engine ingest water?

    No the machine did not sink they just damaged the hull beyond economic repair. I don't recall the year, if I provide you the S/N will that help?

    Last two digits of the HIN number on the rear deck plate are the model year

    I'll take a look to see if I cut that part out. I used a sawsall to extract the engine and drive, to reduce storage space.

    There should be a serial number code sticker on the water manifold bar, on top of the engine.
    It may include the model year (been a while since I looked at one).

    A clear picture of the jet pump will tell us whether it is a 146mm (1992-1993) or 148mm pump (1994 onwards).

    Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at it next week I have it stored in a aircraft hangar.
