any adjustments after changing to triple pump?

I have a 93 SL750 and I just change to the triple fuel pump. Is there any adjustments to do after I am done. It started right up and ran great. the only problem is engine continues to run at high RPMs even after I let go of the throttle. I looked at throttle cable and it is returning as I release the throttle.

    Thanks for the help

    Rob

No adjustments required after new fuel pump install.

Make sure the choke isn't partially closed.

If throttle and choke are OK, you may have an air leak resulting in the high RPM. You'll need to find the cause or you'll be replacing a piston or pistons soon.

Just make sure the choke is fully opened and not hanging up. (partially closed)

You would have to do a leak down test in order to find an air leak. Search for leak down test.

OR, some guys have used starting fluid to try and find the leak. Spray starting fluid near a suspected leak, and if the RPM raises, you found the leak.

double check carb adjustments, throttle stop, air leak, etc. a lean condition causes high rpm via an air leak or impropper carb adjustment
