    03 GTX cold air intake

i was pondering about replacing the stock intake hose on my non SC 4tec and replacing it with a nice aluminum pipe and larger, aftermarket air filter. I would keep the plumbing the same and have the filter up near the gas tank.

why has no one done this before?

    thanks

The OEM air intake is restrictive. I think using a larger, aftermarket filter will not do anything for you, UNLESS you can get the air to the SC.

Research "Kanaflex Air Intake" It will cost you about $125 and should give you some noticeable results over OEM.

    any more input on this?

was also thinking about putting a smaller automotive air breather on whatever that connecting hose was going to

think i will have any water induction issues?

Did you get to research the Kanaflex? Use a stainless steel filter/flame arrestor and not a cotton/fabric, as it will clog up IF it gets wet.
