    What octane can I use??

Very confused as to what octane rating I can use in the slt750..Is it ok to run shell-V power? Regular has too much ethanol in it an messes things up. But will the 91 hurt the ski??

    91 is fine.

You should normally run 89 octane or better. (depending on compression ratio)

I run Shell 91 octane regularly, since it has no ethanol (in my region).

There is no problem running with a little more octane than the recommended minimum (which is 89 octane for fuel with ethanol).

Should be marked on the fuel pump it's dispensed from. Usually a sticker on the side here in OH.

K447 posted up some info about finding out how much in an earlier post. Not sure where, try a search for ethanol posted by him.

Thanks K447. I may look into Shell and some other options for fuel out here.

I usually run Sunoco Ultra 94 or Shell 93 in mine.

Saw some deto on her 750 with the high compression heads installed though. So. I'm going to try NOS octane booster ($11 from Autozone) and see what happens. It's supposed to add 6 octane (60 points) to 16 gallons of fuel.

They want $6 a galllon for 100 octane from the pump near me.

If the octane boost works, it'll save me ALOT of $$$ over the course of the summer. AND save my pistons from damage.

No Sunoco out here. We do have Shell. 91 proof high as we get in Ca. Unless you go to a specialty fuel place.
