Thread: Leaking exhaust

Just finished rebuilding my 96 GSX 787 engine/ carbs and started her up today. All went well.
After running it I noticed some water dripping out of the exhaust pipe itself, a pin hole leak (not at the bolted connections) just after it bolts onto the exahust manifold (on the rear end), kind of above the oil pump on the engine, hopefully you can invision the location.
I have a spare exhast pipe and after sticking my hand inside to feel around I noticed there is a small hole at that location, kind of like a cavity hole (but doesn't go through the pipe).
I doubt this is normal, should I just stick some silicone on there?

This is the classic corrosion leaks at one of the welding bosses. Replace it if you have another.

I put some silicone on it. Leak went away, but I'm sure it'll come back. I'll replace it. Thanks
