    Lost waverunner key

Well I was kind of drunk and my ski slipped off the anchor and floated 400 or so feet off shore. I swam and got it. Only to realize the key fell out of my pocket. I used some rope an and tape to get it home. I have an 2005 xlt1200. Any one know of any stores online that sell keys, I searched but don't see any. I have local dealers, i am going away for a week and it would just be easier to order online have it shipped to me.

Riva, Overtons, etc... etc... you should be able to get one at your local stores as well. Not sure if you have Academy's where you live but they sell them.

from what it looks like on the parts fiche

it's just a standard tether key with the stadard yamaha lock out control panel. Just about any decently stocked boat shop has em. I keep a couple of multi-brand tethers around the shop for walkins.

Somebody was looking out for you obviously

Next time use a zip tie to hold it open so you can get it home.

    notes to self :

1.)keep a spare on your life jacket and not in your pocket
2.)keep a spare in the boat itself
3.) don't be a dumbass and be drunk and ride..

    +1 on drinking and boating

we don't want you on the water either ( or on the beach for that matter)

If you want to get drunk, please do it at home

I spend way too much of my time picking up broken beer bottles at our lake so kids both old and young don't have a horrible memory of their day at the lake ending with a trip to our local hospital emergency room.

I'd like to leave my kevlar beach shoes at home to, but I can't since there is broken glass everywhere there was a campfire.

    ok rant off....

I wasn't going to my GF was going to drive back. To the zip tie suggestion good idea. I cut some strands of a rope and used electrical tape to bound em.
