    Fuel Octane ???

    If running 170lb of compression what octane fuel is needed .

    That's a Q for Randy.

    I think 150-160 is good for 92 octane.

    More than that would prob want closer to 100. Just a guess.

    Bob, I realize there are many variables but here's my rule of thumb.

    Up to 150 - 93 octane
    150-175 - 95 + octane
    175 & up - 98 + octane

    I was running 100 octane with 170lb and thought i would be safe but it wasn't .I know theres more to it then just the compression ,i think one of my fuel pumps might have been going bad also .I'm over this one

    Bob,
    100 octane should have easily done the job. For some reason, I thought you were running it on 92. Sorry to hear about the issue but I'm sure you will have it all figured out in no time.

    What kind of timing are you looking at Bob?
