    Carb Jetting ???

    If i was running around 145lb and i bumped it up to 170 would i have to rejet the carbs because of the higher compression .

    General rule of thumb is NO, you shouldnt have to, in theory all you should do is make sure you're running the correct octane fuel.


    However, I like to fatten things up to help keep things cool while making changes like that. You can always turn 'em in a bit.

    If for some reason you start to get a little detonation with the change, added fuel will make it a little LESS violent.

    Just wondering.....did you happen to check the squish from the previous heads to the new ones?
