    Automotive fuel filter ok?

So I just got done replacing all my fuel lines, triple pump, etc.. Right now I have this 1/4" car fuel filter spliced into my fuel line before the selector valve. Is this automotive filter ok? Reason I ask is somebody said it may be too restrictive.. not too sure if I should believe them or not. I have already ridden it like an hour at the lake with no problems. However, I would rather not burn a piston if he is actually right.. Since some of you guys seem to know your stuff on this site let me know!

I say stick to what it came with, you starve one of them pistons for fuel and you will wish you had not just my 2 cents.. go to this website http://parts.polarisind.com/Browse/Browse.asp and look to see what filter is right for yours and do a search on the internet you will find it.. Cya Slick

I have a water/seperator filter. The small plastic one. I don't like them though as I keep getting leaks. You have to zip tie them away from contact with anything, and I find them to suck, quality wise.
Any one have any other id-ers??

Does your water seperator have the float ring? If so, then there's a filter/screen inside.

If you don't, buy one. They go for $10 usually and don't really wear out.

    Yeah, I've seen those.

Don't hold much water if you have a cracked gas cap or something.

AND you need to replace them if you do get water. Stoopid!!!!!!

Put yours back in, and ditch those things.
