Broken Steering Cable?
Is your steering cable broken at the end cap? An easy way to fix it is to take the plastic tube fitting that is included with most toilet tank valves and just replace the old, broken end cap. The fitting fits perfect and seems to be stronger and better built. This has happened to two of my steering cables and it seems to be working rather well.

LOL That's a great tip, I'd never seen it before. We need to find out what year cables it will fit.

It was a fix that came out of necessity. I was away from home and the end cap snapped like that. After some digging at my Cousin's house, I found the fitting and it fit! Then it happened again to my Pro, but I bought a new cable and just fixed this one yesterday.
