Topps valve with stand alone Managment

Does anyone know what is the correct thing to do with the Topps valve on a 04/05 215 engine when you go to stand alone managment? It appears that the valve is closed normally, but you can't leave it that way or the crankcase will not vent. Do you power the valve to open it?

    Thanks

    Louis

You need to make an aluminum plate and block it off.

is it just as easy as taking off tha valve and making a plate, or do you have to plug any holes. The referenced thread had me coonfused between the tops and the idle servo. You said something about cutting off, and filling with JB weld? Is that servo or tops?

I have the plate made, just curious if it is just a bolt over now?

    Thanks

Just bolt the plate over the hole after you remove the TOPS valve. Use silicone

The Idle solenoid is an entirely different thing.

Is the tops switch where the breather from the head goes into that wield looking thing on the front of an 04 - 05 then into the intake or the catch can? Is it possible that could plug or stick closed over pressuring the crankcase and force oil out the rear seal? I found Oil in my 05 hull and I am losing oil big time. Or if the rear seal goes it just blows

    Thanks

    Tim

Tim, it's very possible this could happen.
