    OEM VTS Trim vs. R&D Auto-Trim

    trying to decide if I should buy a new OEM VTS Motor or go with the R&D Auto.

    I ride recreationally, I only race the guy nearest me!!!

    I want to keep reverse for sure if that matters.

    Does anyone have any experience either way that they could offer, please?

    well first off, are you speaking of a RXP or RXT? RXP's have VTS factory. RXT's do not. how ever, XT-X does.
    and the auto drop only drops the nozzle when you turn the bars. not when you take off. thats where VTS is nice... have it down for the hole shot, and start to trip up for the conditions and speed. If the nozzle is too high, the boat will leap out of the water and the person next to you will be long gone.

    '06 RXP and it's stuck (motor is out) at 3/4 up with a 2 degree wedge, so yes it is LEAPING OUT OF THE WATER!!!!!


    I think you answered my primary question for me though..........

    My VTS will need to work regardless for the hole shot, so might as well get that fixed!
