215 RXP charger on 185 GTX?

My 03 GTX has around 320 hours on it and now Im needing to rebuild the supercharger.. I also have a 07 RXP that I just bought an X charger for, can I get the stock RXP charger on the GTX? Also, what parts should upgraded while I have the charger out?

    Thanks in advance

You would need to pull the PTO cover and replace the flywheel to accept the teeth of the 215 SC gear. You would need the updated flywheel bolts. I'm not sure how the 215 SC would affect the fuel requirements (example: fpr)

Or you could buy the '08 SC kit for the 185 engine to get the correct SC gear. The 215 engine SCs have different drive gears than the 185 engines... Ron

Yes, however, wouldn't this option spin the SC slower?

It would spin slower than the 215 engine, but would be usable in his current ski without any fuel adjustments. Either way the extra SC is going to cost around $300 to use in the 185-hp engine. lextoy had posted about doing this a month or so ago... Ron

Flywheel and upgraded bolts costs w/ 215 SC: $
215 SC with 2008 185 hp upgrade kit costs: $
2008 SC rebuild kit for 215 on your 185 SC w/ flywheel and bolts costs: $

What are the boost differences and cost differences?

Thanks for the replies, Im going with the 185 gear. Are there any other mods that I need to do with this switch?

you can probably get just a 185 gear, new, to swap onto the SC. that would be the least trouble and least cost.
only depends if your SC is low enough hours that its not time for a rebuild anyways...

how many hours are on the 07 SC.
also keep in mind its got ceramic washers still. might not be a problem, if low hrs. consider the GTX hull comes unhooked ALOT less than the RXP, also has less power to stress the clutch washers.
also only spinning at 7600 rpm.
overall, its a good plan to swap in the 07 charger.
just change the gear, and check the slip while you have it out

boost is about 5% less when running a SC in a 185 ski, VS a 215 ski.
it has to do with the gear ratio.
the biggest difference btw the 2 is 185 has NO intercooler.
to really make a 185 perform you need.
    greenwheel or equivalent, more boost
    intercooler, cooler boost.
215 ecu, higher rpm (8100 rpm)
    2004 or newer aluminum pump
    rxp/rxt wear ring
    rxt driveshaft
solas impeller matched to performance mods
    42 # fuel injectors
    rxp/rxt fuel pump
    grate
    wedge
    4" air intake
    Tstat mod

all that is jsut too much money, cheaper to sell the stock 185 and buy a nice RXP or RXPX.
