General electrical system question
Okay I know I have seen this discussed before but I can remember or find the answer.
1996 SL900 is the boat...
We just put the electrical box back together on our rebuild and all electronics seem to be working fine except we get the wierd bilge pump thing.
We'll start the engine and then the bilge pump will stay running after we shut the engine off..
No bilge switch on the 1996's.
Did I wire something wrong or does that indicate a failing part?

I would suggest you start by checking all the grounds thoroughly, and the Red/Purple connections back to the battery.
Pay particular attention to the grounding of the LR module(s).
Is the battery voltage correct when the engine is running - about 14.5 volts?

I Just swear I have read about it before somewhere on the site...My perception may not be correct.
Grounding could be an issue...we stripped out one of the holes where you screw in the ground...but we tapped it back out so I dont see why it wouldnt work.
Will Check the red/purples and will have to verify voltage.

If they are good, I'd be looking at the voltage regulator. The bilge isn't supposed to have voltage without the motor running. So if it has power with the engine off, something is shorting out, or back feeding.
