    Water problem

I am in need of some help. A friend of mine has a 01 stx di 1100 and it runs great on the hose but when you put it in the water the temp warning comes on it seems as if the motor has something plugged and water is not getting into the motor like it should. I think he has run it in some shallow water and has something plugged. Question is, is where.

Thanks for any help, ybnormal, Jeff

Yes water comes out of exhaust, comes out of the hose right above the pump and out of the pump. Does that pump have a screen like the yami's do. I did not see one on the pump

    some do, not all

could be mud and crap in the block

could also be a collapsed hose

Well crap, I really did not want to pull the head on that thing. But I will if it comes down to it, anyone else got any thoughts on this subject.

Can someone tell me where the stinger is located on this ski. I was seaching the forum and in one post someone was saying that the stinger was clogged. Some people may call it something else.
    Thanks yb

I have somewhat of a different ski but last week mine was overheating.I took off the 3 pisser hoses and blew out the lines and all seemed o.k,Then i took off the elbow fittings(where the pisser lines connected to the engine) that go into the head and all 3 were almost completely full of trash(leaves and sticks).I put all back together and temp. was back to normal. Good Luck w/yours
