busted fzr, help needed.
Opened the fzr today to make sure the battery breather was still on and I found this..... I have no idea what these hoses do but one comes form the engine I believe and the other exits the ski. The piece that holds them together is completely busted (see pix) Looks like too much pressure or just a bad piece. I am curious to know what hoses these are and if this has been seen before. Had to have broken yesterday riding or on the road home from the lake, i never noticed any performance difference. I'm Probably heading to dealer this weekend to fix it. Thanks in advance all.
Note, theres some pretty strong clamps holding this piece on the hoses, its hard to see in the pictures but its there.

Not that I'm doubting you, but are you sure? the hose circled on the RIGHT comes from somewhere on the engine. The hose circled on the LEFT exits the ski. Have you seen this before?/ Thanks.

Mazy...I am pretty sure that might be the anti-siphon elbow. The hose you see coming "from the engine" maybe the hose coming from under the engine which is gravity bilge piece underneath the engine.

BP is right, it connects the two loose hoses you circled. That hose is for the siphon bilge that pulls water out of the hull when the ski is in the water & running. I think it might be a 1-way valve to prevent water from siphoning back into the ski when the engine is turned off. Should be a cheap fix.

Got it fixed for the time being. now got one more question.... which hoes goes in which end? since its a one way valve I dont want to mess it up. Thanks again all

If it matches the GPR, there's an arrow that points down on the checkvalve body. That goes to the hose that exits the boat at the transom. The other end should go to the siphon bilge under the motor, by the midshaft.
Hope that helps!
