    RXT S-Charger Rebuild

    Just bought a 06' RXT with 22 hours .
Dealer said to have fun till 100 hours then rebuild the supercharger.
    What's the real story ?
Do the ceramic washers need to come out right now ?
Does it depend on how you ride it ( flat lake versus off waves all day ) ?
I have an extended warranty till 2011.......should I just not worry about changing out the washers ? ( only riding it on Tahoe )

SeaDoo got there head out of their arse and quit using the Ceramics (in 07 I think)... IF you have the OEM washers in there, GET THEM CHANGED NOW!!!

It's not the number of hours on the engine, it's the circumstances. Some have lost ceramic washers at 2 hours, and some have lost washers flushing the ski on the trailer. Get them out asap - if they fail during the riding season, plan on a month or more of down time... Ron

I was afraid that I would hear that ............ and more afraid that any time someone touches an engine there's more room for human error...
Looks like I'll have to have the dealer do it ( $700 ) to save the extended warranty .............

pull the SC yourself and send it to Jerry, much better and shouldn't void any warranty
