AIR Vents...The way an RXP should be....

To IBADTON (Chad) and the rest of forum members that have PMed me in here at Green Hulk and on my own personal e-mail [email protected] net. This is what I have done to cool down the inside hull of my RXP 2004. It is what it is. I redesigned it the way I think it should have gone out of the door. I decided to Butcher and cut my RXP. I have NO intension on buying a new Doo. The 2004 RXP is the sports car of the season. It is a base Model for speed, with a few ad ons and twicking....I saw its future in my dreams. It was Love at first sight. So here ya go guys. Just remember 1 important thing in this concept. Air intake should not be any bigger than the exit point of the ski. If the air intake in the front is bigger than the rear.....it will do a Parachute effect......meaning, it will slow you down. enjoy the pics. any ? Fire away

Nice job. I also like your tude about customizing your ski. I say, It's yours, make it your way. I'm sure you'll get some greif about cutting into the glass, I know I got a few comments when I mounted my speakers. So, I also agree with the theory about volume of air in/out, also as the air exits the engine compartment it's expanded(warm air/more volume) and theoreticly would need more vent exit area compared to intake. That looks like a lot of intake area. You have that much exit area?

    Be cool(pun intended).............OBJ

I guess you're assuming the engine isn't processing any of that air?

If you study the later model intakes you'll see how the design engineers have tried various methods to prevent water injestion. Installing scoops in the front where waves can load gallons and gallons of water straight to the air silencer is probably not a good thing.
