    Exhaust removal on

Can anyone give me some help on how to remove the exhaust manifold? On an ultra 250. Do I need to remove the intake and unbolt the motor mounts, so I can slide the motor over? Please advise!!

No need to remove motor mounts. Remove plate on top of exaust then loosen clamps on end going to water box. All bolts on pipe and clamps. It is easier if you remove catch can. Are you changing gaskets??? It is advised that you take a drill with a scrubbing wheel and clean all surfaces on which gaskets sit and use a temperture resistant bonding epoxy to get a good seal.

    Take your time.

If more help PM me as I just helped change all my exaust gaskets.

    thanks

I have all of the exhaust off except the manifold that attaches to the motor, This one has very little clearance between the hull and the middle bolt. I am changing my gaskets due to a cocoon in my pisser I think it clogged up and caused the exhaust gasket to fail. I ended up with water in the engine, due to it being clogged(I think). So any input would be great .

    Ok

So this will get the hard bolt without having to remove the engine like the service manual says?
