pics of the inside of my stattor cover

I took my stattor cover off today and found that it was very corroded inside there. Now the question is....could this be part of my problem. Flywheel was fine...it moved right along with the crank...no play in it whatsoever..

Come on Bill you can't show him pics of brand new stuff!

I do have to say you take good care of your stuff.

Tamous I am glad to see the stock flywheel on there. Stick with it. I had no luck with the Riva light weight flywheel.

Okay before testing the stattor, is there any possible way that the gap on my spark plugs could be wrong causing the timing to be jacked up?

Too large a gap can cause a misfire.

Too small can cause an incomplete burn of the fuel.

    Bad plugs, misfires, etc.

That is a short list. Plugs can cause a whole long list of problems.
