Well, the day trip was a disaster! First the ski still has something wrong with it. I did not have an extra set of plugs with me which could very well be the problem. I have an idea it is not the plugs though, I have a feeling its the reed valves. I could not get it to climb over 3000 rpm, and when I would shut it down and take the seat off the engine compartment was smokey. After messing around with it for about an hour, I decided to put it back on the trailer. My step son was eager to help, and our routine of trailering it was way out of sinc since it was not running right. Usually I back the trailer in and the wife puts the ski on it. This time I backed the trailer in, then I went and got the ski and put it on. I had the trailer a little too far in the water and the back was floating still, so I told son to jump in the truck and move it up about a foot. He put it in D, and it started to drift back a little and he panicked. He hit the gas and pulled the trailer right out from under the ski. Unfortunatly, I was holding the front of the ski by the lip, and my finger got crushed between the ski and front roller of the trailer. Blood was actually spurting out all over the place with every heart beat! Did not really hurt all that bad at the time, but now it is throbing like a ..............!!!!! He was crushed, and felt so bad, I actually felt bad for him!!!! LOL

Take care of that finger. If it needs medical attention, don't wait around.

Fingers are rather important, and they are way more useful if they heal properly!

You guys think bad plugs or plug could do that? Its the first time I have ever been to the water without extra plugs, don't that figure? It sure would be nice if thats all it is!

Sorry to hear. At least it wasnt as bad as my first trip two weeks ago, on my new-to-me SLT. Didnt run very strong, and found a hole is the Mag piston.

Have you checked your spark and compression?

compression was 125 in both, and when it ran on the hose I assumed I had spark. Won't be doing anything with it for a few days at least, I just changed the dressing on my finger, and it is BAD!!!! Should probably go get stitches, but I am just not a doctor kind of guy.
