    turbo RXP banging the limiter

Hey guys i have been trying different prop combos today and i cant seem to get any decent speed out of this thing. These runs were done with an 81mm ring in the venturi.

    Prop combo #1

3 blade 15.5/22.5 Skat trak turbo prop
    8300 @ 82.7 MPH pulling 14.5 PSI.

    Prop combo #2

4 Blade 15/20 with a shit load of pitch
    8400 @ 84 MPH pulling 14.5 psi.

If i up the boost to 15 PSI im at 85.2 MPH @ 8500 RPM.

That Skat turbo prop is a piece of shit. Im going to stick with the 15/20.

How can i get the RPM down so i can run more boost???

    Can i run a 79mm nozzle?

A 15/22r pitched past 24 on the trailing edge and a 80-81 ring should get u to 87-88ish. I do not trust the scat 3-blade on a big boost turbo, u will sink faster than a lead turd when the prop fails and cuts into the pump shoe opening up the carbon seal. Bilge pump doing the 500gph thing and it still went down SBMF!

Cheers mate i will give that a go. I also noticed with the 3 blade that it makes alot of noise when coming down from full speed. Like your running over stones or something. This prop gives me the shits!

Look at it real good where the threaded "button" comes out the back. The metal stretches there and it will separate, allowing the prop to run up the shaft and into the pump shoe

That only happened to the first batch of skat 15.5/22.5 they already fixed that problem. I broke 2 in 3 days and it did cut into my pumpshoe. Ive been using one the new one for over 20 hr. I want to start using a 4 blade but i want to run 22-25lb of boost and dont know what pitch to get or ho to get it from.

    +1.

Also, FYI, I ran 82.9 mph at 8100 rpm with a Skat 15.5/23 and 81 mm ring. I also have a 15/20 4 blade pitched up to 15/24 and didn't lose any speed when going to the 3 blade, only rpm.

Thats interesting because i couldnt get that skat 3 blade to go any faster than 83MPH @ 8600 with the 81mm ring.

Im going to try a 79mm ring and see how it goes.

Is the Skat 3 blade "Turbo Prop" different than a the normal RXP/RXP-X 3 blade Skat prop?

If the different props, and both had the same pitch, any idea which one would be the taller acting prop?

If they are the same, just named different... I think that for me a 15.5/22.5 might be a tad much.
