Dont know Otto, I passed three skis on my way to the Thames this morning yet I was the only ski out there from 10:30 to 12:30. Quite a few boats, a load of kayaks and canoes, but no skis. Is everyone hittin the lakes?

come on up to the AWA freeride in upstate NY this weekend. I believe there's going to be 100+ skis.

we were out on the hudson for a couple hours today.
i ran my ski for the first time since leaving miami. i was stunned how lean it was running. the afr numbers were scary. thankfully, i can swap out to some 55lb injectors. i also was all over my rev limiter. so it looks like i'll have to run my re-pitched 15-22r (the cold weather back-up prop) i think i should pick up a few mph. i am hoping to see about 83mph with the changes, today was 80.5 mph with just under a full tank.
we'll see how it shakes out for this coming weekend.

What part of the Hudson? I am on the water up by Albany/Troy/Rensellaer frequently and can travel North through the lock to be in Waterford. I could also go South to Catskill or further, but I prefer not to! See you this weekend at the Freeride?

regretfully, we may be a bit too far from albany - cold spring.
so we were between kingston and just below the newburgh/beacon bridge.
i really couldn't stay out too long because my afr number were showing the ski running way toooooooo lean - betw. 13 and 15 (an occasional 12).
these numbers were really quite surprising because it was fairly warm yesterday, about 83. i believe it is both the change in water temperature and the lack of humidity.
the amount of debris floating around in the hudson is quite scary. we were laughing because in florida when we would go up to do a st. johns river run, the debris in the river was alligators. oh, and its a bit difficult to suck up an alligator into your intake grate.
