    Doubtful high speeds on Yamahas

I have seen a few videos of several yamaha's performing at very high speeds, these being an XLT 1200 with only an intake grate, a solas impeller and a ride plate hitting 68.6. and an GPR hitting 94.7. is this even possible?!?!

both were recorded with radar guns.

These skis hitting these speeds, yes possible; doing it with a grate and a prop, not possible.

nope- you don't got an xlt doing 68 with 3 parts only (prop intake & ride plate) Stock xlt does 55-56 mph. I had a 72.8 mph single pipe xlt and tried triples and hit 77mph. I would say 60-63 maybe on smooth water and on empty
