depends where its going and how much you care about it, if you want it to be clean and protected I would advise crating it up. If its with a trailer it is going to cost you alot more your probably better off selling the trailer up here and then buying one when your down there or totally disassembling it. Try freightquote which they use a bunch of carriers and get the lowest price. Or forwardair.

    I like navis

full service company, shipped a bunch of vending machines thru them, they picked up wrapped up and shipped. Crating the ski would mean a lower price to you, assuming youhave the means to do so, but Navis could literally shrink wrap the ski in foam ( for a price).

Forward air is good too, especially between two major ports.

Have those other guys give you a quote if they are cheaper use them. I have nothing to loose with competition. Forward air is a good choice the challenge is that they only service well the major cities if you are not going close to their terminal they can be pricey. Remember when you get a price make sure it includes everything you need.
    Good luck

Thanks for the good refferals. A happy customer is one that you don't have to buy they are happy because they feel that they got a good deal and were taken care of.
I think Island boy will be able to work it out.
