2004 Polaris Virage display dead won't start

Worked great last year, but battery died and replaced it today. Bilge pump works, but nothing happens when start button is depressed. Speedometer is on 80 but doesn't move. No graphics come up on display or clicking is heard. Checked fuse... Help.. Thanks!

    Welcome to the Hulk

Is your two cylinder Virage fuel injected, or carburetor?

Are you certain the battery is not, and has not, been connected backwards?

Disconnect the battery, check the polarity, and reconnect.

If nothing happens, check the Reset buttons on the small electrical box.

Also check the fuses again - pull each fuse and check it with an ohm-meter - should be zero ohms.

Click here for the Polaris service manuals.

It's carburetor. I rechecked the battery and the polarity is correct. The fuses are good at 0 ohms. I only saw one reset button on the box and it's depressed in. Is there more than one on the box? I'll check the service manuals to see if I can find anything as well. Thanks for your help!

Did you disconnect and re-connect the battery?

I am suspecting that one of the battery cable connections is not good. Remove, clean, and reconnect each end of each battery cable - all four ends.

Pay special attention to the engine block end of the negative battery cable. Make sure you have a clean metal to metal connection there.

    found problem is MFI display

Found someone that had same year and plugged their MFI into mine. Now everything works fine.. Only problem is now I need to purchase the display since I had to give his back to him. The polaris dealer said he could order me a new one for $548.. ouch. Looked on here and ebay and haven't found a place to purchase at more reasonable price. Suggestions?
