Angry 1998 1100 STX foul plugs

I am looking for the good word on how to correct plugs from fouling. I am not always going mach 2 with my hair on fire and my ski does not like to go slow. I like to tour and have not figured out how to avoid that rich fouled plug mixture to enable me to go slower and maitain performance. HELP PLEASE....

is it injected model? I had the same issue with my ZXI 1100 and removed the oil injection system and pre mix all my fuel, I use 100:1 mix AMSOIL been working many years, plugs have lasted 6 years so far

It is injected....the manaual calls for 50:1 on the mix....any word on how you are doing with the 100:1 mix....seems like not enough oil.

Thank you much for your responce

Try changing to br8es plugs instead of br9's. 100:1 isnt enough oil.

    Cool STX 1100

I have the same Ski for the family. I removed the auto mix and blocked it off. Kawasaki mechanic told me it mixes the same oil for 1/4 as it does WOT, thus, the fouling. As for mixing 100:1 way too little oil, Im surprised your Ski is still up and functioning. Better to have a bit more oil than not enough. I mix 40:1 no less than 50:1. But, that's me.

It has been 9 years 100:1 AMSOIL outboard oil on original engine.
60mph every year, it is plenty of oil and the plugs never foul.

How long it runs depends alot on how hard your riddin it and what mods. Good example. Last week I did a 75 mile ride with my 2 ultras. The tripple pipe 04 took 15.5 gal to fill bak up. The 00 stock one took 9.4 gal. I rode the 04 pretty hard the 00 was just cruising along.
