    What is this?

    I gather its some sorta vent but what is it venting and should it be laying on the bottom of the boat?

    That is your auto siphon it works off the pump suction. It should be tie wrapped to the bottom of the hull in the back.

    Thanks i'll do that but what does it siphon? and where does it go?

    It is a automatic bilge pump only drawback is the ski needs to be running for it to work. Most if not all peeps install an electric bilge to get water out if the craft is not running.

    The intake screens should be located down in the rear corners of the hull, one on each side of the pump tunnel.

    The plastic elbows in the hoses need to be located as high as possible inside the engine compartment, and fastened there.

    Each elbow has a tiny 'siphon break' air bleed hole in it - that little hole needs to be kept open & clear (but do not enlarge the hole).

    When the jet pump is running, it creates a suction that draws any water from inside the hull up and out through those siphon hoses.

    When the engine shuts down, the tiny air bleed holes prevent water from being siphoned back into the hull (which you don't want).
