To what throttle level can you hear them? I saw one on an rxp the other day and it doesnt 'look' loud enough to hear over idle.

With the volume all the way up on the amp and the ipod it can be heard clear up to about 50 then it begins to blur out from wind noise. When they say these systems are waterproof they mean it. I have submerged both the speakers and the amplifier and have had no problems.

They do make good equipment and these speakers might be just the ticket.

That's cool, I would like to hear those speakers.
I just drop my iPod in a waterproof otter box and place that in the glove box on the ski, and wear the Apple earbud phones. You can close the glove box with the wire sticking out, wire goes up under my vest and out the top. Works fine up until about 50 mph at which point the wind blows them out of your ears, but I don't think you could hear any system with all that wind in your face anyway... be advised this may not be legal in all states...

I just got an email reply from waveaudio and these speakers with a 60 watt amp will retail for (under) $400. Too little power and too much money if you ask me. The speakers will have a mount that uses heavy duty double sided tape (1200 psi pull) to attach to the ski. The speakers clip into the mount and are removeable so that the ski cover can still be used. Kit comes with a waterproof case for an ipod and a volume switch.

The full wave audio system sells for 575.00 on the 4tec performance store. This includes 2 four inch speakers an 80 watt amplifier and 4 pushbuttons for power volume and mute.
