GP 800 Rebuild?
Where can i get a rebuild done and for cheap? I want some place that is going to do all new gaskets, crankcase and crankshaft, rods, pistons, the whole 9 yards. Is there any place near Iowa and if not, idc, i just want to get my toy going again.

what's your idea of cheap? a good rebuild isnt gonna necessarily be cheap. be careful!

my experience over the winter was to rebuild wasnt cheap but i know what i got now. your best bet might be buying a reman with a warranty, it is cheaper. not ne3cessarily the best route though.

WFO Performance - Richard, rebuilds motors. His website is in my signature. His screen name is also WFO. He is located in Houston.
There are other engine builders on the forum as well.
Jim's performance - Jim
Ben's Performance - Ben
West Coast Performance - Kevin
Island Racing - Carl
And there is SBT - they sell remanufactured engines.

any time you buy something from a large rebuilder like that you got to be a little concerned as they have guidelines and tolerances that arent necessarily the best, but they do it to keep it affordable. the plus to buying rebuilt is, it will get you back on the water quicker and they come with a warranty. hopefully you never have to use the warranty.
