Any local riders in Olympia area?
Always looking to head out on the water with a friend, will you be my friend? I take my RXP-X out on Lake WA on occasion and locally put in on Black Lake b/c it's convenient.

Dan when are you out on the water?
TEX-X - I want to go there this summer but the 4th I have plans. Is that a place more for camping or do they have places on the water or hotels?

My daughter wants to go somewhere this weekend - the weather looks to be crap! She hasn't been to Lake WA so maybe a leisure ride around that. The deal with Lake WA TEX is it's not a good speed lake. The chop is pretty rough and you're going to come unhooked and I'd say 50 is about tops. But some will sneak up on you and it's fun riding solo.
I might head out on Black Lake Sunday...but we should plan something.

I would not worry about the cops on Lake Washington along as you are not speeding through the cut or Lake Union. You can go as fast as you want on Lake Washington.

How would you know about the cops in Seattle Darren? My daughter and I went up there last Saturday. It does get a little tiresome to do the channel through Lake Union at the low speeds. So once you enter the 7 knot zone by Husky stadium is everything west of that no wake?
It would be nice to go WOT on Lake WA but rarely have I seen minimal chop to get sustain speeds above 60. It's usually 50 or so and even then coming unhooked a lot.
