    remove impeller cone, tweak trailing edge

    currently running near 7700 rpms with rxp 07.

    can anybody explain in detail "remove impeller cone, tweak trailing edge to get rpms at 8100"?

    you might be having a s/c clutch issue. mods? hrs? need more info.

    As for removing the impeller nose cone, some say it may give you a little speed gain (maybe), but I remove it so it can't come loose and walk up the drive shaft (causing cavitation).

    EDIT: You should probably get more opinions before removing the nose cone.
