    Vts help... not working

ok this year for some reason my vts isn't working. I blew a fuse, so I replaced the fuse. the vts unit out back will click, but the motor doesn't move.. I"m thinking maybe the motor is bad? There is not water in the box it self, and there is no corosion at all... I checked all the connections and they are clean and good... any ideas?

jump the motor to your battery and see if it turns

+1...(but fuse it!) also with the motor disconnected, put a multi-meter on the motor leads in the box and check the voltage when moving the trim in both directions. You should see 12.x VDC one way and -12.x VDC the other way... this will make sure that the relays are functioning properly.

Sounds like it... however for the difference in price you may want to buy the whole assembly If my memory serves me correctly () without looking it up... the motor is like $190 and the entire assembly is $280

The motor is the same as a power window motor. PM RX951, He's a good guy and a Moderator here. I think he might know of the same motor. probably less money brand new. same as the power window motor it goes up and down by reversing the 12 volt thingy
