    Question RXT Piston/cylinder wall clearance

Hi I am going to instal new WSM .50 forged pistons (part#010-862-05k) on mi 2005 rxt. Before i bore the cylinders i like to know whats the proper Piston/cylinder wall clearance. New OEM is .001in I was thinking on going .002in because of the material of the piston. what do you recomend.

I'm thinking you may be the first one on here that has used WSM pistons is why no one has responded. What does WSM recommend? These SC/IC motors need good quality parts to last, Mahle is the OEM supplier and one of the best in the world.

I agree! The piston manufacturer will specify which clearance is necessary.

My vote also goes to Mahle. The stock pistons are hard to beat

25 thou is probably fine for stock application but if your adding more boost and power the piston to wall clearance and ring gap needs to expand as with any performance app.
