Thread: Warranty Question?

Hey folks, new to this site. I recently purchased an FX SHO Cruiser with the extended warranty. According to what I have heard and read in the manual, Yamaha has a service schedule (i.e. 10,50, 100 hour maintenance) that needs to be complied with in order to take full advantage of the warranty should something happen. My question is the following: does the ski have to be serviced by a Yamaha dealer or could it be serviced by an independent contractor and what qualifications would that contractor need to have in order to fulfill any requirements by Yamaha?
