    exhaust manifold

Putting my engine back into my gsx. What is the best way to approach the tightening of the manifold nut that is underneath? Should i take the carbs off or can i tighten it with the carbs on?

There is a special wrench for the nut. You can do it with the carbs off with a regular wrench but then you have to put the carbs on with the pipe on (not impossible, of course).

The wrench is a box end 15mm that has a bend in it, an opening for a 3/8 extension, and is about half as thick as a normal wrench. You can get one from the dealer, or make one if you have the tools with which to do so.
