    1996 polaris sl700 bearing carrier

I'm a bit confused, this is the part that attaches via a rubber hose and the shaft goes thru it and seals keep the water out. anyway is there suppose to be a bearing in the middle between the two seals or is it just the two seals ? parts diagram do not show a bearing but the name is confusing why call it a bearing carrier if there is no bearing ?
    thanks
    Tim

No bearing, it's actually a bushing.

Not sure on the name of it.
