    Gelcoat paint

I am about to gelcoat the bottom of my hull. Anybody know how many coats one has to apply to the bottom of the hull? Or do you just apply it once, sand it and then wax it?

I may be wrong, but I don't think the GPR is GELCOAT.

I also wonder if it will stick properly also. Maybe someone can chine in. I remember reading somehing over this.....not sure if it was the technical manual or from a post......

You need a quart of paint, hardner for it..... 2 good coats will do. You spray that stuff on thick, if it runs keep it up and it will drip down and smooth itself out.

Shooter - check this link (or click on "Search") http://www.greenhulk.net/yama/showth...ht=paint+codes

It's a base & clear. Tape it up and bring it to an autobody shop.

Give me a call. I've got a project started for paint protection on my GPR cause the black is REAL thin and shows everything.

actually, I found out you can use Rustoleum Marine Paint Bottomside. No 2 epoxy part either. You just stir it up good, paint on with a brush, then sand. Do 2 to 3 coats. My buddy uses it on his gprs all the time. You can pick it up at Home Depot. Unfortunately for me, they didn't have white, so he is kind enough to mail it to me. They do have an abundance of black, you may want to check that out for your setup. I know I am going to go pick up some black for my xpl hull.
