Sea Doo purchase advice please RXT-X?

    Hello,

I am about to buy a Sea Doo. Most likely a 2008 RXT-X. I do not intend to mod it, and will take care of it.

What are the pro's and cons of owning this PWC?

What is a reasonable offer for me to make to a dealer for an 08.

Should I consider a GTX or GTI instead? If so besides speed what would I lose or gain.

Where can I get a good deal in the South East US?

Feel free to answer any or all the questions I have

    Thanks for your help!

    Jerry

An 08 unused should go for around 10K OTD without trailer. You don't want the gtx/gti if you ever ride a rxtx trust me.

The rxtx is a much faster and better machine. The GTI and GTX have the thumb throttle. But, The rxtx is the worst seadoo on gas.

I have an 08 RXT-X, its great - super fast...but shitty on gas yes...

FWIW I like having the acceleration when I want it, but had just as much fun on previously owned 155hp 4tecs and a 215hp RXT.

    They are all fun.

I really enjoy my T-X, and out of the box it's a spectacular PWC. Fast, stable, and good in the chop. You can't really ask for much more.

Thanks for all the help! I have called 4 different dealers here in the SE so far and the best no trailer OTD I have found is $12300 with a bag anchor and labor (about $135.00) for the install of a 200 Sea Doo back step and a 5 year warranty. I could take the 1200 (11100 OTD) rebate instead of the 5 year but I think I prefer the 5 year warranty. It is in the crate BTW.

Where how to get it down to 10K OTD :P?
