    Honing, Machine Shops

Hey all, I am trying to get a cylinder head honed for a new piston and all the machine shops here in Salisbury, MD want 50 to 70 dollars or more just to hone it out. Anyone know of any shops in Eastern MD that arent ridiculous. Or has anyone used a flex hone and a drill with any tips? lol

Honing a head????? That don't sound right.......

You can try sending it out to Sharpes marine in Oswego NY. They do good work and charge fair prices.

The PTO cylinder holed on a lean condition. I replaced the cylinder, head and piston. Did a compression test afterwards and found the mag cylinder was melted and worse than the PTO. (always compression test first) Now Im going to deglaze the cylinder off the PTO that I had pulled because it was fine to replace the chewed one on the MAG. I also got the triple pump kit on and new fuel lines. Looking for rebuilt carbs now
